MINNEAPOLIS 鈥 A Minneapolis ambulance crash sent five people, including two paramedics, to the hospital.

According to Hennepin EMS, the advanced life support unit was responding to a non-urgent call without lights or sirens, following normal traffic patterns on March 8. The ambulance crew reported the crash and requested assistance while providing aid, reported.

Police, firefighters and three additional ambulances responded. All five individuals were taken to local hospitals, with the paramedics later released, officials said.

The ambulance was traveling east on Lake Street West when a westbound sedan crossed into the eastbound lanes before the crash. Minneapolis police reported that three occupants of the sedan were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and no arrests were made.
